Your customers tell me what they won't tell you.

I find your customers, get them talking, and tell you what I'd do about what I hear.

Tell me what you need to learn

You talk to your customers every day.

So you're hearing the polite version.

Your customers know you have something riding on their answer, so they're kind. They say it looks interesting and ask for a feature. You're listening for the thing you hope is true. Everyone does. Both sides leave the call happy, and the real reason never gets said.

It's the same reason you told the waiter last night that everything was great, right after whispering to your partner that you'll never eat there again.

Or you know you should be asking them, and it keeps sliding to next quarter.

Every one of your customers is an honest customer. They just need someone else to tell.

How it works

  1. We meet. One session with your leadership or product team to name what you most need to learn, like how to price your product, what to build next, or why deals stall.
  2. I find your customers and get them talking. I track down the right people, book the calls, and run ten to twelve conversations with current customers, lost deals, and the ones who almost bought. If you don't have customers yet, I'll find the people who should be. Hand me a name or two if you have them. I handle the rest.
  3. I bring it back. A live readout with your team covering what I heard, the patterns underneath it, and what I'd do next. You decide what to build.

What you keep

The patterns you can't see from inside, and my read on what to do about them, all traced back to what your customers said. Plus every recording and transcript, so you can hear it for yourself. Listen closely and you'll catch the moment each person stops being polite.

Who's listening

I'm Brydon Gilliss. I've built software products, teams and companies, and spent years in rooms with founders at the hardest points of building. I ran ThreeFortyNine, Guelph's first coworking space, for nine years, started DemoCampGuelph, and led the Ontario Startup Train for more than a decade. Today I run Founders' Club, a room where builders tell each other the truth.

I've seen most of the ways a company can get stuck, so I know which questions to ask and what to listen for. My experience tells me where to dig. Your customers tell me what's there.
